SLDPRT to PRT - cannot modify model tree

I previously used solid works to create models and am now trying to modify them in pro engineer. They were converted from sldprt to prt files but I can't seem to be able to modify them in the model tree. Can anyone please advise what I require to do to enable alterations.

    I think the only option you have is to use the Import Data Doctor t make modifications. This is a very limited editor.

    The problem is that the history based model features from Solidworks are not converted. You likely have a model very much like an imported Step or Parasolid.
