TAP_REDUCTION_FACTOR

Can anyone explain what this parameter does?

i cannot find anything about this, not google nor this community nor the Creo help nor any of the PTC cases... typical (i can imagine what it does, but i would like some official info or experiences, because i cannot see any reaction after editing its value).
