Question

Wildfire 5

Management is asking if we want to upgrade to W5 as we are getting all
new hardware and the IT guy is building an image for them.

I have always been a firm believer in keeping away from the "bleeding
edge" as far as Pro/E releases are concerned.

I guess the question is ...... has the bleeding stopped ..... is W5
stable and what cut is recommended at present?

I am not using WF5 fully yet, but all my testing shows it to be very stable. If you are getting new hardware, you should not have any of the issues I am seeing with an older Workstation. The Dynamic edit and model shadows takes more power than our Workstations can handle.

There is an issue with Dual Monitor Drivers, so if you experience a crash and have a Dual Monitor setup, you may need to update your drivers.
