Answer:  Creo lets you regen the model at upper, lower, nominal or middle dimension tolerances.

Question from Chris: When you have a similar kind of job, you'd want to copy the strategy from one job to another and have it update to new geometry.  Do you still have that xml template style working methodology?

Question from Claudiu:  I'm looking for a solution in design to have a UDF that includes an Annotation Feature that references the Manufacturing Template.  Do you believe it's possible after the designer placing the UDF in CAM to recognize the operation in CAM?

Answer:  Yes, Lee showed how you can include the annotations with the UDF and the process manager with interrogate the model and automatically machine those.

Question from Claudiu:  Also creating a TAP on a machine takes 30 mins or an hour.  If this machine is not available to create the TAP on a different machine, I need to recreate taking another 30 mins  to an hour.  Do you have a better solution?

Answer:  You can use DBatch for post processing.

Question from Claudiu:  Creating the template i need to create manufacturing geometry (Volume, Window...).  If I applied this Manufacturing Template, it will not create the geometry feature specified before.  Is there also a template to to create the geometry ?

Answer:  The Manufacturing User Defined feature can also include geometry (in the model or the mill window).

Answer:  That is a feature of stepover or scallop height.  The better finish is achieved between the two.

Question from Keo:  Does this version have the ability to identify thermal expansion?

Answer:  That can be done with Creo Simulate.

Question from Keo:  How do you identify which tool to use for material?

Answer:  There is a method of using a machinability database that will automatically set feeds and speeds.

Question from Michael:  Sorry, missed the opening slides.  What is the minimum Creo Version # to support these capabilities.  And is there additional packaging/licensing requirements?

Answer:  Creo/NC has been around for a long time.  There are a few packages available depending on the complexity of machining.  These are available license extensions.

Answer:  Depth still needs to be defined.

Question from Ross:  Is tool finish an option that will adjust load from feed and speed rates?

Answer:  Tool load is typically for roughing and not for finishing.
