Extract component movement from assembly

Hello everybody,

I have the following task/problem at hand:

I have an assembly of several parts which are placed with constraints. These parts can be moved within defined limits (for example on a translation axis). How can i extract the limits and axis on which movement is possible with the help of JLink? The part of the documentation that I think is relevant (chapter: Assemblies and components) does not seem to provide a clear answer. I am using Creo 4.0 M070.
