Hi,

Can someone provide a detail information on how J-link works in creating the BOM for Creo drawings? what are the pre-requisites like license is needed? how to install or configure? etc.

Thanks in advance

Kind of a loaded question you are asking.

The proper method is to use repeat regions on table within a drawing… this updates automatically based on the configuration of the assembly.   Stable, supported, not without limitations, but overall the right approach.

If you are looking to extract BOM data - the drawing is the wrong place to get that.  Nitro-BOM gets it directly from the assembly and exports to Excel for review, creation/modification of parameters, and sharing.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the response, appreciate it.

Is the Nitro BOM paid subscription or is it free to install? Also do you have any sample on how this works?

Thanks

There is a FREE license with just a simple download of the product…  Great for small projects and work, a lot of people get by with the FREE license...

Just download, unzip, and run with Creo (note: requires JLINK to be installed) -->> Nitro-BOM

If you need more for larger BOMs -- then there are several paid options (you can buy from 1-month to a Year for a floating license).
