jlink - help with creating a free note

Question

I'm hoping the JLink gurus out there can help me with placing a non-attached
drawing note.

I found an example in the documentation, but it uses a Point3d for the
placement, and I cant' figure out how a Point3d coordinates correspond to
drawing boundaries. Can anyone help me out with this? Either that or point
me to a method of note creation that uses something other than Point3d for
placement?
