Skipping over cabling parts (Jlink)

I have a collection of components from an assembly and I am processing them by opening each (part) component and looking at some properties.

My problem is when the large assembly I am processing contains a cabling harness, and the method tries to open the harness part.

The ModelType of a harness part is MDL_PART so I'm just not finding a way to recognize that I have a harness so I can continue past it. Any recommendations?
