Which version of Visual studio is compatible for creo 12.4.2.0?

Hi, I'm looking for compatible versions of Visual Studio to customise Creo Parametric 12.4.2.0. Is it okay to use Microsoft Visual Studio 2026 (available as latest version) or safer to go for previous versions? Thanks.

This is from the "Get Started" section of the 12.4.1.0 Toolkit user's guide.

Visual Studio 2022 is the version.     The text below is an excerpt from chapter 1 of the TKUSE.PDF that installs in your toolkit folder.

Note
• The supported version of Visual Studio changes with every release of Creo
TOOLKIT, and hence the compiler flags and libraries also change. For every
release, you must download the latest version of the ready-to-use solution
from the Creo TOOLKIT load point.
• In Creo Parametric 11.0.0.0 and later, Creo TOOLKIT supports Visual Studio
2022. The compiler flags and libraries are available for Visual Studio 2022.
Creo TOOLKIT no longer supports Visual Studio 2019.
All Creo TOOLKIT applications on 64-bit Windows platforms built using the
Microsoft Visual Studio 2022 compiler must set the configuration property
Platform Toolset as Visual Studio 2022 (v17.6.5)
