Emx - part names

Hi,

 

In EMX, when I define a screw, I rename it according to my company´s rules, for example "1000-P00-00".

 

When I have to modify it, the part is renamed automatically to something like "1000_SCREW101".

 

Is it possible to keep the part name that I defined previously?

Hi from B&W,

you're right, PTC has openend an SPR for that just one week ago. We will check this issue and fix it at least within the next two weeks. It'll be fixed in EMX7.0 M032-patch then!

    Hello,

    I think this problem is not solved yet.

    I´ve been using EMX 7.0 M040. I added the "Company_id=Catcher" option for preventing the rename of the parts.

    It works, but now I have a new problem: the "ord_number" parameter is not updated.

    For example: I add a screw M6x20, later when I redefine it for a M6x30 the "ord_number" parameter is not updated to the new values. Now I have at BOM with incorrect values to check.
