Kann ich eine Exponentialfunktion auf einem Zylinder abbilden?

Da die Mehrheit der User aus aller Welt kommt und wir noch kein akzeptables Uebersetzungstool gefunden haben, das direkt zwischen den Muttersprachen hin-und her uebersetzt, ist es um ein vielfaches wahrscheinlicher auf eine englisch abgefasste Anfrage Antwort zu erhalten (selbst wenn das Englisch nicht perfekt ist).

Ich bin aber durch einen Amerikanischen Kollegen auf die Frage aufmerksam geworden und daher mein Vorschlag:

Die Frage war: Wie kann man eine Exponentialfunktion (mit Verschiebungswert) auf einen Zylinder projezieren/abbilden?

Meine Antwort:

• Da ich annehme dass wir Bereich des Modellierens sind, reden wir von Bezugskurven.

• In irgendeiner Weise analytische Kurven, die sich nicht einfach durch skizzieren oder Flaechenschnitte bilden lassen, erzeugt man am einfachsten mit der Funktion Curve from Equation (Bezug > Kurve > Kurve aus Gleichung).

• Dort werden in einer expliziten Form die Funktionen fuer die Koordinaten x, y und z in Abhaengigkeit eines Laufparameters t [0 .. 1] beschrieben.

• Man kann karthesische, Zylinder- oder Kugelkoordinaten verwenden

In diesem Fall bietet sich ein Zylinderkoordinatensystem an und Funktionen von etwa:

r = R

theta= t * 360

z = f(t)

wobei R der Zylinderradius ist und f(t) die gewuenschte (Exponential)funktion

I got notified of your question by an American colleague and hence there is my suggestion:

The question was:

How to project/map an exponential function (plus delta) onto a cylinder?

My answer:

• Assuming we are in modeling, we talk about datum curves.
• For any analytic curve, that can not be simply sketched or created by intersection of surfaces, it is the easiest way to create them by the feature Curve from Equation (Datum > Curve > Curve from Equation or simply type in equation into the command search)
• It allows to describe the curve in explicit functions for x, y and z coordinates based on a parameter t [0 .. 1]
• You can use carthesian, cylindrical or spherical coordinates

In this case a cylindrical coordinate system is recommended and the functions could be something like:

r = R

theta = t * 360

z = f(t)

where R is the cylinder radius and f(t) the desired (exponential) function
