Midpoint Workplane

Another super simple question. What is the best way to create a workplane at the midpoint of this solid. I can create a plane on a face easy, but if I try and reposition the plane it won't snap to the midpoint of an edge. I tried to create a plane by point and dir but again it won't find the midpoint. Any thoughts

Point & dir is ok.

But you must hold down the CTRL + SHIFT keys for catching the center of a line or circle.

Another option, which works in cases of more complex geometry, is to measure the center of geometry of the part. I would send the measurement to the calculator and then start the WP by Pt/Dir command and grab the XYZ values from the calculator for the center point of the workplane.
