Opening PKG - Exporting to STEP file

Hello everyone,

I'm new to Creo software and we need some advice on which software can work with our client's workflow.

The client provides us with PKG files, we need to turn on/off visibility of components and then export it as STEP Files.  We don't need modeling capabilities, and the client will like to avoid allocating time for the conversion process, and at the same time it's on our side to select what really needs to be exported.

We tried the Creo View and the PKG file format is not supported.  Is there any other option?

What other format is lightweight and easy for them to save as from Creo modeling that we could use Creo View to export?

Any guidance will be great.

Thanks!

What software is creating the PKG file?

What is contained in the PKG file?

The file is being generated by Creo 5.0 and it includes mechanical and electronic assemblies (if I'm using the right terminology)

Ok, the client confirmed they are using Creo Elements Direct.

Thanks again
