Announcement: Impact and Supportability of installing and using Java 9 in ThingWorx

Java 9 is expected to be released by Oracle September 21 2017 and is not currently supported for ThingWorx, refer to ThingWorx System Requirement guides for support details:

Polina, in order to raise awareness about this, considering that now Java 9 was launched (version 9.0.1 is in the wild to be more precise) do you know if there are any tests (or maybe plans) to validate TW against this version?

There is an interest from the field regarding compatibility with the next version since after September 2018 Java 8 will no longer receive public updates.
