Can I install the ThingWorx Manufacturing Apps with an existing ThingWorx 8 installation?

Yes, the ThingWorx Manufacturing apps can be imported as ThingWorx extensions into an existing ThingWorx Platform install (v8.0.1). ThingWorx Manufacturing Apps are imported as a ThingWorx extension for all instances other than the Express and Developer Edition licenses.

Note: If you ran the Express installer, you cannot import ThingWorx Manufacturing Apps as a ThingWorx extension.

The extensions will work only with Thingworx 8.0.1 at this time. There are known issues if you install with prior release such Thingworx 8.0.0 or earlier and no workaround exists.
