Considerations for Upgrading KEPWARE Version 4 to Version 7

各位先進夥伴好，近期接到一個CASE，客戶突然想做升級，4版到7版(當前最新)。
Dear partners, recently we encountered a case where a customer suddenly wants to upgrade from Version 4 to Version 7 (the current latest version).

因為4版真的太過古老，最簡單的OPF匯出，都不知道能否順利？想討論有甚麼注意事項。
Since Version 4 is extremely old, we are not even sure whether basic functions such as OPF export can be completed smoothly. We would like to discuss what considerations or precautions we should pay attention to.

軟體、系統、硬體都可以。
Any suggestions related to software, operating systems, or hardware are welcome.

I hope you're doing well.

I would like to inform you that it is not possible to upgrade KEPServerEX version 4 directly to version 7.

The correct and supported upgrade path is as follows:

Upgrade KEPServerEX v4 → v5
Upgrade KEPServerEX v5 → v6 (recommended: v6.17 or v6.18)
Migrate KEPServerEX v6 → v7

Please ensure that each intermediate version is installed and validated before proceeding to the next step, as direct upgrades are not supported by the platform.
