How to load backup Project into Runtime?

I'm opening a Project from the backup folder while offline.   The Project opens and is exactly what I want to run in KepserverEX6.  I go to Runtime and select Connect, and it reverts back to the original Project.  What am I missing?

 

I've seen something about Runtime uses the default.opf file to run.  I don't see a default file.  The original file that it keeps going back to is Simulation Driver Demo.

A couple of points to verify:

  • Ensure that the backup project is located in a directory that KepServerEX recognizes as valid and doesn’t default to a path associated with Simulation Driver Demo. This consistency can help avoid the fallback behavior you're experiencing.
  • Verify if the backup .opf is not missing.
  • Try manually importing the backup .opf
  • Verify if you have proper licenses for the drivers project being using
  • Cleanup back ups : Settings - KEPServerEX > Runtime Options > Clean up Now...

    I noticed that is shows me as a Default User (RO). Is that Read Only?

    Yes, If it’s set to Read-Only, you won’t be able to write to or modify the project.
