HW License on HyperV

Hi,

We are trying to make a hardware key work on Windows server VM running on HyperV. There is no USB passthrough, so we were thinking of DIGI AW02 hub or SILEX DS-700. Is this something that can work with HW license? Is there anything I should watch out for? I’m running KEPServerEX 6.18.

Yes, a Silex DS-700 or Digi AnywhereUSB AW02 can work with a KEPServerEX hardware license key in a Hyper‑V VM, provided the dongle is recognized by the VM as a locally attached USB device.

For virtual environments, a software license is generally the more reliable option.
