Kepware Configuration API Advanced Tag Support

Hi all,

A few years back I had a use case where I wanted to use the kepware configuration API to create and modify advanced tags from thingworx. Does anyone know if this functionality has been added or is in the future plans to be developed?

I hope you are doing well.

I am writing to inform you that in KEPServerEX version 6.18.296.0, support for configuring Advanced Tags through the Configuration API has been introduced.

ThingWorx does have REST client capabilities. Therefore, if you are using ThingWorx as a REST client rather than just a data client, you can create and modify configurations directly from ThingWorx through the Kepware Configuration API.

If you are using ThingWorx only as a data client, you can use any REST client to interact with the Configuration API.

Please note that Kepware must be version 6.18 or higher to support this functionality.

Hi thank you for the reply. Do you know if there is a documentation for the Configuration API containing advanced tag information? I found the old documentation but it did not have anything related to advanced tags, but I have done some experimenting on my own with it. Just would be nice to have a documentation to see the full capabilities and how to call the API.
