Organize channels in folders

We have many channels and want to organize the channels in folder without affecting the Item ID for the associated tags.

For example here, I want to have the ability to make a folder for the dryers and the PRD devices.
The folder is merely for organizing within Kepware and should not affect the other systems. Therefore the Item ID, e.g. PRD0147.myDevice.myTag, should not contain the folder.

I am writing to inform you that you cannot create folders for Channels/Devices in the Kepware Server.

In the Kepware Server, the Item ID is directly derived from the hierarchy: Channel.Device.Tag.
