Question

Upgrade from V7.0.236.0 to V7.1.271.0

Hi,

I want to upgrade Kepware from V7.0.236.0 to V7.1.271.0.

Wanted to ask is there a need to uninstall the V7.0.236.0 version or we just need to install the V7.1.271.0 through the .exe file and it will get auto upgraded?

Kindly help.

    In most cases, there is no need to uninstall KEPServerEX v7.0.236.0 prior to upgrading. You can run the v7.1.271.0 installer directly, and it should perform an in-place upgrade while retaining the existing configuration.

    As a best practice, please back up your project configuration and verify license compatibility before proceeding. After the upgrade, confirm that the project loads correctly and that all clients reconnect as expected.
