3D Printer Recommendations?

Hello All, 

I design cosmetics packaging & tooling with Creo. We are looking to purchase a new 3D Printer (ours is cheap and prints with voids in top, flat surfaces). We are looking for roughly a 10" bed max and looking to keep the price around $1000, but can go higher if it means better precision. Any recommendations? Thank you!

We have been through a few. I have a personal machine myself. The trade off here is how much you want to babysit the machine. A lot of the lower cost options require tweaks and maintenance.

 

Or company has settled on some Ultimakers. They are out of your price range but they are very reliable. I worked at a very large company that offered a 3D printer workshop and they were also using Ultimakers. They are more expensive up front but save time trying to make things reliably work.
