Hi All,

I am fairly new to the Pro-E software. I've just generate a mini program to test but I am not familiar with how to output it to the machine.

There are post processors already existent that were made from the previous programmer but I am not sure which one to select.

I am also trying to understand the file extensions following. By default Pro-E will generate a ".ncl" file but how can you generate a file with a ".cnc" file extension.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Most posts have the file type naming of the output file as a setting.

The .ncl file is just the cutter path file from Creo which is submitted to the post to generate the machine code. Old APT programmers called that the CL-file.

Brendon,

By default Creo will save CL data to file with extension .ncl, if you would like to get the file in .cnc format set the config option ncl_file_extension as cnc
