Importing Creo MBD file into Creo NC

While importing MBD .prt models into Creo NC:

  • The Annotate tab is not visible, preventing access to combination states.
  • Cross sections are lost, and PMI data is not retained.

Looking for guidance on how to properly import an MBD model into Creo NC.
Are there specific settings or configurations required to enable full PMI and combination state support?

Hi

Define what you mean by MBD part model. Do you mean a model created with Creo Parametric with combined states that have annotations in them ?

What do you call Creo NC? 
And from your description it is assumed that MBD part is created from Creo or is it ?

Yes, I am refering to the Model created with Creo Parametric with combined states , with annotations.
Yes, MBD created from Creo. (.prt file)

Creo NC is a specific module in Creo for CNC Programming..

From what I have gathered from our Help Center annotations are unlisted and the concept of the workpiece is to use a part as a starting point. 

The Creo design model, representing the finished product, is used as the basis for all manufacturing operations. Features, surfaces, and edges are selected on the design model as references for each tool path. Referencing the geometry of the design model sets up an associative link between the design model and the workpiece. Because of this link, when the design model is changed, all associated manufacturing operations are updated to reflect the change.

As a Creo Parametric engineer, i will let a Creo NC expert follow up.
