Lattice feature

I'm currently working on the bone prosthesis design incorporated with lattice structure. I'm using lattice feature in Creo 4.0 to generate the lattice. However, I have a problem when CREO isn't able to generate the lattice according to the shape that I want. What is the reason for this and how to solve it?stem.jpg

Like to know which options are you using in References tab to define lattice boundary?

"Convert Solid" is right option looks like in your case. 

If the lattice is fail to create then you can try  following one of the  option.

1. use skip failed Geometry check

2. try to change the First Cell location .

3. Try simplified lattice

 I call this user errors. There is correlation to many parameters  here  that are independent to each other. Once you are in edit definition menu you will find how to make changes by trial and error. I find this by accident myself and it opened up a whole new universe to look at!. The 7.0 is different can't remember in 4.0 although there is limit with shape you want.
