The volume milling sequence was redone in Creo 3.0.  I believe that the new volume sequence does not yet support local milling.  The workaround is to

Set “ENABLE_CLASSIC_NC_STEPS” to “YES”

This will allow you to use the new volume or the old volume sequence.  If you want to use local milling you will need to use the old volume sequence.

Hello Jose,

did it work with classic sequences?

Here is the related article from our database: CS191225 : Unable to create Local Milling sequence with error message "Tool path could not be created; Please check the setup" in Creo Parametric 3.0
