Manufacturing best practices

Hello,

We manufacture the same object with small variations (lenses). Currently our mold engineers use the "save as" functionality in Windchill to copy the mold (it's always the same fixtures) , and they update the mold with new lens. Does anyone had any suggestions on how to handle this in a better way instead of the continuous save as ?
