Profile machining my biggest Pet Peeve

You should use the Volume Milling toolpath, with the ROUGH_OPTION set to PROFILE_ONLY.  This should have all the same options as the Profile toolpath but is set by default to machine each “region” as you prefer.  It is also faster to set up if you have lots of pockets, since you can simply use a Mill Window that encompasses them all.

I would also note that holes can be milled in a single helical cut using Trajectory, while complex pockets could also be done helically with Cut Line Machining.
