Using a standard assembly with EMX

I seem to remember that it was possible to use EMX functions (such as adding screws) with a standard assembly. Can anyone tell me how to activate this?

Hello tedgroot,

 

In case you want to assemble screws with EMX it is necessary to convert your Standard assembly to a "EMX"-Assembly. You can do that by Opening the Project Dialog, setting up a Project Name and leave with OK.

 

EMX will write a Parameter to the Assembly which designates the assembly as EMX Project.

After that you can use EMX Screws, Pins etc. as expected.
