Can someone explain the difference?

In another thread there was a WS posted with a strange effect. Two variables with the same name are declared, all have the same style (variable) but nevertheless they are different. The red highlighted variable is the strange one, I can't type it, just copy and paste.

Can anybody explain whats going on here?
