Cannot save a new file after re-installing mcad 15

To all,

I had to re-install mcad 15 (M050)  on my machine. Two issues I am having

1. I cannot save the file. I get an msg: 'filename.xmcd is in use' Save with a different name.

    Clearly it isn't (it's a test)!!

2. Any existing files are open read-only. I have full access to these files

Any idea what is causing these issues? If 'yes' how do I fix them?

Thanks

Regards

Hi,

It also happened to me in the past without, however, having reinstalled Mathcad. I'm afraid this happens haphazardly when the file exceeds tens of megabytes, but then it doesn't happen anymore. Have you tried restarting mathcad after turning the computer back on?

Hi JXB,

I fear that there is bad software on your hard disk, so it would be a good idea to do a total system restore and install immediately after a valid antivirus, not free, and then install Mathcad. You will see that you will no longer encounter problems.

And on what path on the disk did you reinstall the program?
