Chart component functionality

There is no placeholder for units in chart component The old plot had unit place holder for scaling the graph units This seems to be missing in MP 7

 

Also using the chart component in the input area they are not automatically Assigned units to x and y expression I cannot see Corresponding base units displayed which makes it even more difficult 

What is the solution for this??

Use the built in (old) plotting facility. The new chart component is a badly integrated third-party add-on.

Or was there a specific reason for you to use that new component...?

Yes I can use the old plot however wanted to go through the chart component to check the functionality so it seems like a huge missing in the new graphing functionality

Well, new...? It's in since Prime 5 and provides gridlines. But it has had complaints ever since.

The 2D Chart Component does not support units.

 

The solution is to divide each of your expressions assigned to the X/Y pairs by the units that you want the values to be displayed.  For example,

This is identical to how this was done in Legacy Mathcad.
