The attached files have both been corrupted with following error code:

Does anyone have an idea, as to why this problem occurs?

I am using MathCad Prime 5.0.0.0

Thanks for the help

No idea. But the files really are corrupted.

The first 4 bytes of the file are OK, indicating they may be valid Prime files. The problem must lie furter into the file.

You may want to try contacting PTC support to investigate the files. They may be able to tell you what went wrong. They may be able to recuperate the file. Otherwise, I hope you have a recent backup...

Hi @AntonKC

The corruption might happen due to some of the following possibilities

  • The instance can appear with an incomplete save with the mathcad file..
  • A Mathcad file saved with Mathcad 15 and prior (file types: MCD, XMCD, XMCDZ) cannot be loaded through any version of Mathcad Prime. Use the Mathcad Prime XMCD, MCD Converter tool instead or any other kind of exception data has been experienced and logged with the log file.
