Dynamic of structure: Mode shape

Dear all

I have a bit about matrix and I try to understand the dynamic of building structure , could you all share me the sheet of calculate mode shape of building as shown in example-1 attachment? Do for me

    Hi,

     

    You can construct the matrices for lateral stiffness and mass.  You can construct the equation 11 and solve for omega the natural frequencies. Prime does not simplify the three values as far as it can you need to do this manually to get the values in the example.

    To solve for mode shape the example solves by inspection.  You cannot do that in Prime?

    Still working on it!

      You may consider using an appropriate "assume" modifier and  don't use "float" too soon 😉
