Evaluating design formula

I am very new to Mathcad and am struggling to evaluate a formula. All help is appreciated.

The formula as written is:

=(1+0.5*sin 1.5 *77.1)

Where 1.5 is an exponent of sine.

And what about the 77.1 ?? Should it be the argument of the sine function in degree? Why the "*" in front of it?

BTW, thats not a formula, just an expression which you can evaluate numerically.
