Why I am getting solution in terms of  ω

The Fourier transform takes t as the time variable by default, not tau. And like Laplace transforms t to s, Fourier transforms t to omega.

I should guess this explains:

As shown you can tell Prime which variable to use (instead of t), You can also tell it what to transform t to, e.g. s:
