My Prime 2 (student academic version) had stopped working. Its on my computer which is the backup now used predominantly. It had a downloaded Windchill ProductPoint Client Manager, then reloaded Prime 2, and had the latest license email dat file placed in the same folder as the drive the program is installed in, and also tired with the older license dat file. Failed. I get an error message each time that changes its number its 'An Unhandled exception occured on the dispatcher thread. See C:\ProgramData\PTC\Mathcad Prime\Logs\Mathcad  Prime_Exception_20160914_214823.log. Academic license so please help. I need to get it running asap. If  you are with PTC please help also I had spent hours with different configurations.

Run the license wizard to point Mathcad to the license file. Simply putting the license file in the Mathcad folder will not work.

The Prime 2 program does not open it starts to where its front page comes on then there is the error message then it closes.

If I can get the program up then I can go to Options and then point to the file, cant get there.

So is the error message saying something related to pointing to the file or there is more?

If you can assist thanks. I had put in a request to Academic Support.

Hi. I know that could be some frustrating, but do you try to read what is inside the log file? Can found some interesting thing there?

Best regards.

Alvaro.

Hello Alvaro,

I do not see a Log file in the C:/Mathcad/Prime2.0 folder.

Usually the log file is opened using notepad, not in my folder.

Cheers and Thanks,

Karl Bogha.

All your Mathcad Prime log files are located in the following path: C:\ProgramData\PTC\Mathcad Prime\Logs
