First of all, I extend my gratitude to all of you!

You people are really fantastic. I am a recent user of Mathcad and now in the learning phase. I have never seen any community being run by a handful of people. I searched, and searched a lot on different topics in Mathcad and always find satisfying answers. Apart from this, I realize that the answer was always by one of these angelic personalities. I have visited, posted in different communities but I would say that this community is above all. It has a very excellent response time. It feels these are "just post your question I can't wait more!" type people in this community always welcoming to solve the miseries of people. The second best thing is that you people are like the real guru of Mathcad. Never seen a reply "I don't understand" so far. That's amazing!

 

I have just one request. A three-minute video can explain something better than a thousand-word answer. I just want you people to use this and be more elaborative and productive. I just have a request to all of the experts that just make a video, upload it on youtube and share the link in the answer with a brief description/explanation to answer. I am asking this is because on youtube very few tutorials are available on Mathcad. Moreover, there are some features that don't have a video tutorial at all e.g. 1) How to make custom dlls 2) How to use Mathcad with other applications/software and exchange variable data 3) How to animate a solution in Mathcad.

 

I know there are answers available in the community about these but I think they are sometimes difficult for beginners to grasp and understand. If a video is available we can understand it much easier. It will also help the people who don't know about this community at the early stages of learning and just rely on the searches on YouTube. This will just widen the span of Mathcad with minimal or no extra effort. It will be helpful for Mathcad as well as its depleting expert user community.

 

I hope the next replies in this community will have some sort of video tutorial link to follow along for those who are behind. Best wishes to all ☺!

    Yes, it is.
    I have never met another forum to answer the problems you encounter so quickly, with options to solve your problem and suggestions, at least for now (maybe they will be, but I don't know them or I haven't found them yet).

    This is very, very encouraging for users, and a real help.
    That is why we should thank these nice and wonderful people who dedicate their time and their knowledge accumulated over many years in the service of helping other people.
    So, thank you to everyone who puts their shoulder to this.
    These things should also be supported by the PTC, at least by listening to the problems and wishes of community members, if not through something else.
    So, thanks again.

      Thank you for the compliments.

      Maybe I overestimate the effort that goes into producing instruction video's, maybe you underestimate it.

      I know that PTC has offered, and still offers sessions where their application specialists and others present tutorials on the use of Prime. See this PTC page for content. If you want to find more, look here, especially the series posted by cmcclintock seems interesting. An example is this.  Now if I only could find the link to a stored version of that webcast...

        Just to let you all know some things behind the scenes, recording quality instructional videos is actually pretty difficult and very time-consuming, especially if you have to re-record because you mess something up or decide after the fact that the video would have more value if it included something you didn't mention in your first recording.

         

        Alongside those Mathcad educational sessions from 2020, we also had several Coffee with Mathcad Experts sessions for Europe, and those are also supposedly recorded but not uploaded anywhere. I've been asking for the recordings for a while because I'd like to just get them up on the Mathcad YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/MathcadTV/ 

        (We do have a written content plan for that channel to have an active flow of content that'll be tips, tricks, and how-tos. There's just been other things going on...see below.)

         

        In terms of upcoming Mathcad events for 2021, we have our second annual Mathcad virtual conference in about two weeks:

        This multi-session event will feature talks with some production value, roadmap info, customer interviews/presentations, and even some shout-outs to this very Community. The replays will be available after the event on Mathcad.com.

         

        And we've also begun a new series between now and November, a virtual roadshow:

        The virtual roadshow is more casual and demo-focused/question-answering-focused on specific topics, especially those that touch on our recent announcement about Mathcad 15 and earlier versions of Prime. The replays for this will also be available on Mathcad.com, and there'll be a replay page up in the next few weeks for the webcast that's already happened this week (for the education market), and the webcast that's happening this Tuesday on June 1 that addresses Mathcad Prime 7's functionalities compared to Mathcad 15's.
