Incorrect units

I am getting incorrect units I wanted to get unit H for Bm but unable to get that can someone help me here

More can't be done without seeing what you actually do in your sheet ...

And why do you think that Bm should have unit Henry?

 

You assigned variable Bm to be 1.1 Tesla right at the top.

Then you start a new calculation and you end up with Bm again with unit Tesla. Why do you think that's wrong and that it should be in unit Henry?

You know that you can force Prime to display results in any unit you like by simply manually overwriting the units. Prime will add and adjust any missing units accordingly as we see in the last expression where I replaced the displayed units by Henry and Prime added the necessary current and area units.

 

In case that you simply had confused Henry and Tesla in your initial question, actually meant Tesla and the question is why the result is displayed in kg/(s^2*A) and not in Tesla - this is because you have pressed the ‘Base Units’ button. Switch off this option and the result will be displayed in Tesla straight away!

    @IS_10705139 in my industry, structural engineering, we have rare occasions where we intentionally manipulate the units in a formula.

     

    My example is for the compressive and tensile strength of concrete.  When we test concrete strength in the lab, we usually cast a cylinder and then test it's compressive strength it in a press.  Today, we rarely make it into a shape that we can pull apart to find it's tensile strength.  That is because it's tensile strength matches a square root curve of its compressive strength in psi (pressure).  There has been a lot of statistics and testing that gave us this relationship and it is a very user-friendly correlation... except for the units in Mathcad.

     

    Since we cannot take the square root of psi (pressure) because you cannot take the square root of pounds (force), we have to divide out the psi unit and then add it back in.  Even if we were working in metric, the correlation is still in imperial psi units.  Actually, the Canadian code uses MPa but will also add a factor of 12.

    Woh, that was a long story, but boils down to this:  In the 99.9% of your formulas, if the units do not work out correctly, you have an error in the formula or inputs.  In your field/industry, for the rare formula that requires manipulation of the units, it will be well documented on how to do the manipulation.
