Input Acceleration for a Datum Point

Hi Everyone,

I am new to PTC Creo and I am having issues solving a problem.

I have a quarter inch tubing, 0.02" wall thickness, aluminum tube that is clamped on both sides ( ends can't move ).

I know the acceleration vs. time of the mid point.

I am trying to get displacement and strain of the bar vs. time.

I would like to be able to input my acceleration vs. time table which I obtained from experimental testing.

Is this possible ? and if so how could i do it ? I am really new so patience is the key with me if possible

Thanks so much guys,

Thomas

This is the Mathcad forum. You should post Creo questions to the Creo forum.

If you have the acceleration as a function of time then to get the displacement you need to integrate twice w.r.t. time. I could tell you how to do that in Mathcad, but I don't know anything about Creo.
