Mathcad to PDF issues with printing [version: prime 10.0.1.0]

Hello,

I have been having problems with saving/printing the file to pdf. Some pages come out blank (only header and footer is visible but not the content of the page) in pdf without specific reason. It does not happen in every worksheet, just some.

Let me know what I can do with it.

All the option, apart from printing to paper didn't work.

But I solved it (not the way I wanted).

I distributed the contents of that page into 3 different pages and it printed perfectly.

The file does not look so appealing anymore, but at least it works. I wonder if there is some limit for the "weight" on the page so it doesn't print it.

But thank you for all the options! I appreciate!

Looks like you should contact official PTC support.

I assume that you do not experience  the problem when printing to a physical printer - its 'just' the Prime export to PDF (and probably also XPS ?)

Things which come to my mind and may be worth trying are

  • Using a different PDF printer like like "Adobe PDF" or  free alternatives like "CutePDF Writer" or "PDF Creator". I guess using "Microsoft Print to PDF" may give the same undesired result as using the Prime export feature, but you may give it a try anyway.
  • Export to rich text format (RTF), load the resulting file in a word processor print/export to PDF format from there.
  • In case that XPS export works OK, you may also try one of the many available XPS to PDF converters

These options should are to be seen as possible workarounds so you may get a correct pdf and are intended to replace contact with official PTC support.

P.S.: A very similar problem was discussed here in the past:

Solved: Issues saving as PDF file in Prime 9.0

Not sure if using a different PDF printer driver did solve the issue for the uses.

Thanks for letting me know.

Unfortunately nothing works. It only happens with some files not all of them. And there is nothing wrong on the pages its prints blank.

Can you share here one of the files which fails or create a dummy file which also shows the print problem.

As I understand it you experience the missing content when you print to pdf using the Prime export facility, but also when you export to XPS or to RTF and also when you use a third party pdf printer like Adobe or CutPDF !?

Does it also happen when you print to paper using a 'real' printer?

I have used the Microsoft Print to PDF app and it works great for me.
