msxml6.dll is either not designed to run in windows or it contains an error

msxml6.dll is either not designed to run in windows or it contains an error.

what does this error mean, how can it be resolved ???

I guess a little more information is in order.

Who's complaining?

Why do you need Msxml6?

Where did you get the dll from?

What is your OS? Is it 32 or 64 bit?

i am trying to install mathcad on 64 bit machine for a client in houston. while installing the software he is getting the above mentioned error.

Mathcad or Prime?

Did you check bitness?

Was an incorrect Msxml6 existent on the computer?
