Setting the Default Font for Text Block

I've created a template with my preferred fonts in the title, header, footer, etc.  But when I create a new text block I always get Tahoma 11 pt.  Is there some way to set the default for text boxes to a different font?

If you don't have any selections in your document (just a blue cursor) and set the text formatting it will be default in boxes or blocks
