Symbolic analysis "collect,s" works but need no distribution of the variables

All,

Is there a way in Symbolic Analysis where the collect function "collect,s" only collects the s terms but does not distribute our the variable? The equation becomes too high entropy with distributionCapture.JPG

Please see attached

Thanks

It is indeed difficult to get the symbolic output that you want.

With the right Mathcad (11) and some luck:

The options for controlling the output of symbolic results are unfortunately very limited. I don't think the representation you want is achievable.

Thanks Luc and Werner for all the helps. The reasons I use symbolic analysis is to minimize mistakes and it is speed.

As engineer, it is best to put the equations in (Low Entropy) form where direct physical interpretation can be seen and it clarifies relation how element values affect the results

Knowing this, I think a combination of hand and computer symbolic analysis is probably the way to go.

Thanks Again
