Lea, hello!

You have deleted the first post, but I have had time to read and download it Mathcad file. More low I have attached to the message Mathcad file where as input data I used your data (X, Y), and as function of fit is used two models (this document demonstrates the use of Mathcad's "genfit" and "pwrfit" functions to fit data to a power curve model is used):
1. y=A*x^b
2. y=a*x^b+c

The document template is taken from center of resources "Mathcad Help". In the document I have only corrected input data (X,Y) and limits of boundaries for plots ([0;132], [0;95040]).

P.S. The file is saved for version Mathcad 15.

Many thanks for your help Valdimir, really appreciated.

Your curve fitting looks excellent...

Actually I figured out the solution soon after posting, so everything answered now.

But for those wishing to see the original question -See below :-

Dear All,

Given the enclosed data set of X & Y... (X being time periods - hours).

I am trying to create :-

(i) a SINGLE formulae which has perfect integrity with the below data set at each point.

(ii) Also this formula MUST be able to be differentiated.

Header 1 Header 2
X = 0Y = 0
X = 12Y = 1440
X = 36Y = 8640
X = 60Y = 21600
X = 84Y = 40320
X = 108Y = 64800
X = 132Y = 95040

(iii) I am NOT looking for simple data fitting function.

(iv) I am NOT looking for an iteration function that may be non differentiable.

Please see enclosed Mathcad file (version 14) with my work in progress breakdown

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated...

Best regards,

Lea...
