So is there a way to do the second equation with symbolic operator?

Yes, but I guess you won't like it.

It would force Mathcad to make an expression more complicated, as Valery had pointed out in his way, and thats not what Mathcad is made for. OK, there are times when I doubt my last statement

Here we go - its made in MC15 but give the same result in Prime, too (except keyword hiding and showing and equal sign, of course),

Well, it looks not that simple, but I think I would love it.

Then I can write all the expression in Mathcad and print the homework.
