Unable to open/install Mathcad 15 on Windows 8

I have installed Mathcad 15 on my computer with a trial license but it will not open. I tried installing MSXML 4.0 but this did not resolve the issue. I am operating windows 8, 64bit.

Do you have any suggestions?

Try to start the installation of Mathcad 15 not with an launch "setup.exe", and run from the folder "mathcad" next file - "Mathcad15WixInstaller.msi":

Also, you must install the following additional components from Microsoft:

Dear Vladimir!

I think I have nearly the same problem. I am a teacher an the whole class install Mathcad 15 on PC with Windows 8. With the additional components nearly all can start Mathcad.

But there several childrens who can`t start Mathcad. There always came this Error window.

Have you tried to start the installer (the *.msi file) directly instead of the normal setup.exe on those machines as Vladimir had shown?

Did you call PTC support, as the message suggests?

BTW, the version you use (M005) is a bit old - you should try to download the latest M030.
