Updating License

I was wondering if I could get some clarification on updating the license on the Mathcad Prime 4.0

 

We had a message stating the license was expiring. I have able to successfully retrieve the new license and have the zip folder with the text document. However, I'm unsure how I go about updating the license for a user. I attempted to look at some documentation but I'm unsure what the next step is or if I'm doing it correctly.

 

Help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

    There are a few lines at the top of the license file that need to edited first.

     

    What I do is this (assuming you are using FlexNet):

    1) put the new file in the location with the existing file with a name like License_new.dat

    2) Open the existing file and the new file and copy the top couple of lines that define your server and such to the new file.

    3) rename the old file to licesne_old.dat

    4) rename the new file to license.dat (or whatever your old file was named)

    5) shutdown and restart the FlexNEt software or just reboot the computer
