Why won't equation find a solution when there is one?

I have the following fairly simple equation. When I use the solve it say no solution was found but I can iteratively find a solution myself?

Having closed the worksheet and re-opened it, I did get a 'solution' to the equation but not what I expected.

I have however 'solved' it by using a Given / Find solve box

Perhaps because the symbolic solver doesn't understand units and doesn't know what a kip is?
