Building a new Dell 7720 laptop to run everything from modeling, Mold Analysis, MathCAD, Bunkspeed, Keyshot etc.

Already getting the NVidia M5000M GPU.

1. With Creo 4 starting to support multithreading is it now finally faster to go with Xeon?

2. Since I'll be turning off the onboard GPU that isn't a deciding factor for a CPU

3. Which do you guys recommend?? Leaning toward the E3-1535M V6 for the fastest clock.

Thanks!!!processors.jpg

Go with Xeon.

I went Xeon / ECC for reliability only.  Always been a good choice with PTC S/W.

Raw performance would dictate otherwise.
